Published: 27.02.2013

A meeting of key influencers this April promises to be the year’s biggest indicator of future growth in the region.

Held on April 16 – 17, just prior to the Singapore Yacht Show, the Asia Pacific Superyacht Conference (APSC) promises unrivalled insight into the Asia Pacific superyacht market. The conference will bring together over 200 industry leaders to discuss the best ways to create a cohesive market that maintains its current momentum, and to identify and expand areas of growth within the Asian Pacific region.

The conference is hosted in the stunning surroundings of ONE°15 Marina Club, right in the heart of the Singapore yachting hub. Providing added value to those already planning to visit the Show and area, the conference is designed to give delegates and sponsors a platform to reach real avenues of influence and growth in the Asia Pacific arena.

A breeding ground for industry ideas and innovation

With a captive audience of the preeminent superyacht industry professionals focused on the Asia Pacific region, this is the place to engage in a forum with your influential peers and ensure your brand is positioned within this sphere of rapid development.

Now in its fifth year, the conference has built on the success and thought development of each prior edition, to ensure the most exciting and relevant programme yet.

As the only platform of its kind in the region it has proved to be a crucial breeding ground for the ideas and innovation that drive this industry forward.

Covering a spectrum of topics of expansion or concern, seminars will deal with high-growth areas of the trade, issues of transport and relocation to the region, tapping neighbouring markets, different angles of approach to address and meet cultural mores, aspects of design and service and a host of other subjects crucial to success in the region.

An impressive lineup of international experts

One of the exciting lineup of speakers is MaryAnne Edwards, Chief Executive of the Australian International Marine Export Group and Superyacht Australia. Edwards will lead a dissection of the growth of the Australian market, which has also seen significant growth in numbers of superyacht owners in recent years.

Mykolas Rambus, CEO of Wealth-X, will present a not-to-be-missed paper on identifying the potential client base and catering to their requirements, while panelist Johnny Cheuh, MD of Ocean Alexander will be exploring the topic of superyacht production in emerging countries. Other topics will address questions of quality in the region when compared with Europe, chartering in Asia, cruising New Zealand and the Pacific, designing for Asian owners and successful client relationships in multicultural Asia.

These influential topics are backed up with quality networking and social engagements to ensure time spent at the conference brings delegates as many valuable contacts as possible.  To view the preliminary programme in full, please click here.
