Published: 23.03.2017

The 2017 Singapore Yacht Show will have a line-up of yachts unlike anything ever seen in Asia with numerous regional premieres and an impressive display of superyachts topping out with the 65-metre Ambrosia. The excitement, however, doesn't stop there.

In addition to the on-water and marine displays, the Show has a huge range of activities for families of all ages to enjoy. Below are just a few of the family fun highlights open for all to enjoy – make a day of it and head down to the Singapore Yacht Show 6 – 9 April, 2017 at ONEº15 Marina, Sentosa Cove.

Quayside Isle, Sentosa Cove children's fun

Quayside Isle is putting on a whole range of fun children's activities during the Show. A bouncy castle, carousel and game stalls will be open for all from 17:00 to 21:00 on Friday 7 April, as well as on Saturday (8) and Sunday (9) from 14:00 to 21:00, while stilt-walkers will be roaming the Show on Friday (7) through to Sunday (9) from 18:30 to 20:00. Don't miss out on a great selfie opportunity with these larger-than-life characters.

The 125-year old classic yacht Vega

A living piece of history, the stunning historical vessel Vega will be on display throughout the Show. This is a rare opportunity for adults and children alike to see this famous vessel up close.

Not only is Vega an example of stunning craftsmanship from yesteryear, Vega operates a humanitarian programme delivering donated educational and medical supplies to some of the most isolated and poorest island communities in South East Asia. Come and find out more at the Show.

Learn how to sail in Virtual Reality

Ignite VR will be showcasing the very latest in Virtual Reality sailing during this year's Show. A great way for kids to get a taste for sailing, without the need to be on the water, you can learn techniques and skills from the comfort of your chair, and if you're feeling competitive, try out a Virtual Reality regatta scenario. No sailing experience is needed, just put on the VR headset and give it a go.

Photo with a Ferrari, Lamborghini or Bentley at the Supercar Parade

For car-lovers, there will be plenty of eye-candy at the Supercar Parade. Held throughout the Show, there will impressive displays from some of Singapore’s leading supercar clubs, showcasing the best models, including some that have never been seen before.

Get active at the Demo Platform

There's lots of fun to be had at the Demo Platform. A great place to watch the action, or get involved and give it a go – this area is kids friendly. Enjoy the fun water toys and yacht accessories; check out the gravity-defying FlyBoard demonstrations; and try out some Stand-Up Paddleboarding and kayaking in the marina. Kids can also give the Remotely Operated Vehicle “Deep Trekker” a go.

Presented at the Show by Marine Commerce, this ROV allows kids of all sizes (and ages) to explore the underwater world of ONEº15 Marina without getting wet!

The toys

Ever wanted to explore the depths of the sea, to see the wonderful underwater creatures and landscapes, but don't dive? Well, U-Boat Worx have the answer. Their new underwater virtual reality dive experience will give kids the chance to be a part of the underwater world, to see fish and sea animals up close. The set-up includes mood lighting and surround sound, giving the user a unique 'real' life experience.

If all-out adrenaline, wet and wild fun is your thing, then you must show the kids the awesome inflatable water slides from Funair.

Ideal for yachts, homes and even resorts, these are great additions to any family fun time.
